Best bet is to upload them to something like photobucket or community webshots thay are free to use, then post a link on here, thats what George has done & what I do for the club website as we only have 55mb webspace for the club site and photos can take up quite a bit of space.

Big thanks to every one involved especially Paul & Linda for keeping us all informed of what was happening.
To the Colchester Croozers for their win,
There some great battles that went right down to the last minutes so well done everyone.

We learnt a lot and will incorporate them in the 2009 Coastal 240

also thanks to everyone involved Paul , barry & Linda
and finaly well to done the winners
Paul

I would just like to thank everyone who came along to race today, I wasn't sure how it would go but alot of work went into making the day a success.

It was good to see so many teams really getting into the whole tactic thing and I must congratulate Colchester for running a very well oiled schedule and also for turning up with their cars in team colours. They eventually won by just two laps and I am sure this was down to some slick pit work as both the top two teams were in the pits, changed transponders and out again in under 8 seconds. The victorious Colchester team also took six of the top ten quickest laps with the quickest being a 14.046 on lap 732!

It was very close though, and at one stage it looked like the win might be snatched away from them and who knows what would have happened if the 'Peeps had not 'lost' their transponder for over a minute. All the teams did very well to last the 240 minutes and it was amazing how close some of the racing was. Credit must also go to team Fifty/Fifty who had a torrid time in the opening 30 minutes and at one stage were 14 laps behind the 5th place team. Unluckiest driver must have been Trevor who fried most of his motors in an attempt to get his team further up the leaderboard.

Everyone entered into the spirit of the meeting and what a beautiful job Tim did on Stephen's bodyshell to win the individual concours prize with his stunning Gulf Oil colour scheme.

After the succcess of this meeting we hope to include it in our calender for 2009 when I'm sure the competion will be just as fierce.

Well done everyone!

Thanks
Mr.B

Thanks to all involved with putting the event on today.
I'll speak for all the Colchester boys in saying that we all thoroughly enjoyed it,obviously it helps when you win.
We'll definately arrange a return match, maybe later this year or early 2009.
Unlucky to those that had problems throughout the event and i'm sure every team had a problem or 2 and thats what makes these races so good.,different every time.
Cheers again.
Paul.

What a great days racing yesterday - with good weather, some really great teamwork from each of the teams, some very close racing throughout the day and only 28 seconds seperating 1st and 2nd after 4 hours of enjoyable racing, but at times damned hard work!
Many congratulations to Colchester Croozers for a deserved win, especially with the slick pit stops that they were capable of, and also to all the teams for the great spirit they each showed throughout the day.
Look forward to seeing this as an annual inter-club event, as it is certainly a very different form of racing.
No. 46

Very well done to everybody involved in the racing and for the crowd for making a real good atmosphere for the Coastal 240. One of the best meetings i have ever raced at and i love the format. Who needs five minute racing in this day and age.
