probs again!!!

i got a novak brushless system for christmas put it in my car loverly jubberly i take it out for a maiden voyage no probs took it back indoors put a different pinion on then took it back outside wound it up to top speed then it went nuts got ever quicker and i had no control over the car what so ever it was like a sudden serge of power went though the motor cause i still had streering but couldent brake the batts where well hot there interlect 4200s and ive got a acoms 2.4 system and a gtb brushless system

ive just seen on the novak website that they have a new 2.4 gtb system could this be the problem that im using the regular gtb and 2.4 ?????????????
CuttingEdge

No the Regular GTB works fine with 2.4 , It was the 2.4 GTB's that kept going BANG last summer ...............

What Motor / Ratio was you trying to run when it went ok and when it went out of control ........

Ratio with the Brushless is the most important thing of all I have seen them do funny things when the gearing / Setup is wrong ............

I take it , it was a novak ss motor you have conected to the GTB ? what turn is it and what ratio was you running it on

Also double check the sensor plug / lead for damage , a slightly damaged wire can make it do funny things also .........

Also Put the GTB on Profile 1 and leave it there until you feel you need more power / reverse or more brakes etc ........

HTH any thing else just ask ...........

it is a ss motor 3.5 lol i took it out first time on a 20 tooth pinion and it worked fine then i put it up to 28 but then i read on the internet last night this might be the problem there is no probs with the conections the same happend on a 25t aswell but ive got a 20 and 19t pinions so i will try them

A 3.5    Are you sure that won't be much good at Coastal

We run 13.5's, 10.5's are bit hairy, 6.5's even worse, a 3.5 will be insane, I would suggest getting a 13.5 if you can, otherwise I fear you will need loads of spares for your car.

build it race it wreck it
greyfox

There's no chance of you being called 'Captain Slow' with a 3.5 brushless in your car!!!

You will LOL!

The quickest lap time is rarely from the fastest car in a straight line.

To be quick you need a car you can control, that handles well through the corners - if you look at most tracks and especially our track most of the time you not using full speed as the car is in corners or on short straights.

In fact to go fast you need to go slow - be smooth and the quick lap times  will come.

Ovepower your car and you will not be smooth or have the control through the corners that you need to get those consistent quick laps.

i  will get a 13.5 turn i only got a 3.5t cause the only gtb bundel the shop had in stock was the 3.5t so thats the reason and i wanted the choice if i wanted to go mental on the motor side of things lol
