Have just seen on another forum that Losi have acknowledged that there is a file that is corrupted on the latest 1.28 up-date on their site - something to do with the reverse function.
They are running final tests later today on the fix and will post an additional item on the Losi website to confirm that it is fixed and all is well.
Go to:-

for more info on this.

It is just a problem with reverse on 1.28
I am running that version and it was all OK. Just found out about the profile change (Not the settings) apparently you need to switch the tranny off, where before you had to have the tranny on

Update is now on the Team Losi website.

Well its all installed into the D4 and working fine , Had to disable my Anti Virus Software before I could get the USB lead to work , But after some time its all up and running on Version 1 as it came out of the Box    I am not going to do the Firmware Update at this time as its working fine as it is    , I can send and recieve settings and load and save to my Hard drive also so its all set up as I want it ............

Don't know if i would trust it in my touring car I don't feel its as good as the Higher level ESC out there , Don't know why but I am always put off when companys use cheap wire on ESC and Servos

I think you get what you pay for

Oh GreyFox Be warned when you change the settings make sure the cells are disconnected from the ESC !!!!!!!!!!!  If not you run the risk of Blowing up your PC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trev,

To update the firmware you need to uninstall the losi software (V1) that came on the disc. But not the USB  bridge driver.

Download the sotware from the Losi site V2 dated Dec 2008 amd install.

You can then download the latest firmware D010128N dated Dec 2008.
and load this to the ESC.

Do Not download this firmware update unless you have installed the software version 2.

All future firmware updates will need version 2 of the software.

Version 2 is better and the latest firmware is far better than the original.
The new V2 software seems to have elimated the problems encountered in trying to update the firmware.

It pays to turn off your antivirus when updating the firmware to the ESC.

I don't need to switch the antivirus off to change settings on the ESC it works OK, but I am not on Vista!!! but did turn it off to update the firmware just in case.
