East Anglian Challenge Cup

I know its a long way off but we are holding the first leg of this off road challenge on August 3rd with the return at Lawford on September 7th.

The format is mixed lap races with the top scorers going through to the 'A' final but every driver scores points for their team along the way.

It could be compared to the Ipswich v Norwich football derby, the Oxford v Cambridge boat race, the Ipswich Witches v Kings Lynn Stars speedway.

We have been beaten on the last two occasions that this event has been held   and the Lawford lads always go well at our track   so lets see if we can give them a run for their money.

So get your buggy out, get some practice in and get your name down here if you would like to in the Coastal Pirates team.
Paul

Well after all the excitement of the Coastal 240 Endurance race on the tarmac, our attention turn to the grass with the first leg of the East Anglian Challange Cup scheduled for Sunday August the 3rd, with the return at Lawford on Sunday September 7th.

In the past and despite the best efforts of all our drivers we have never really took the fight to the Lawford boys so lets use the excellent team spirt that came so close to winning on Sunday to the Offroad track.

Everyone seemed to enjoy doing something different so get your name down for the next Team race at Coastal.

Home and Away, YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU

Hi Paul.
As you know we need 9 per team. If we have more wanting to come along and race, will it be possible to have some additional races?
Mind, with the 4wd Regional at NBC that day, I don't think they'll be many-but just in case!
Cheers.
Paul

At the moment Jim, anyone who turns up will be in he Coastal Team

Hopefully we will be able to field a team but yes, we can incorporate another heat for anyone who wants to race.

We'll be holding a trophy tournament for the reserves and anyone else not in the team event, so the more the merrier!

Not sure if I've missed it somewhere but what time should I turn up?

Also, I don't have a decent 12v battery, and I can't get to the terminals in the car without a fair amount of boot trim being removed so can anyone share with me please?

TOMORROW'S RACECHART
benh

Hi Coastal!

Thanks again for another great days racing.  Really friendly and most enjoyable.

Hope to see you guys soon! Home or away.

I'll get the pics sorted and have them posted. Unfortunatley I didn't have a chance all day to get any racing shots, but the main ones for promoting the two clubs were just what was needed.  We can use the action ones from the 1st Round.
LBC

MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE AT COASTAL FOR A GRAND DAYS RACING!
SEE YOU ALL SOON,
JIM.
Paul

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On behalf of all the Coastal Team, I would just like to say a big thank you to Jim and his team for another good days racing.

Despite our best efforts and even 'borrowing' their star driver we still finished runners up.

We look forward to next year and hopefully some exciting developments to this fixture.

Thanks again Jim.

Paul
