Touring Car Class
1 - Have open class only. There is minimal advantage, if any, in running hot motors around coastal.
2 - Have 3 lap qualifying at every meeting. Adds far more excitement and tactics to the qualifying.
3 - Have longer finals. With todays cells and motors, why are we still racing for 5 minutes? Im not saying that the races should be 10+ minutes. But maybe 30-35laps, or have final leg 1 for 25 laps, leg 2 for 30 laps and 35 laps for leg 3.
Mini/Beginners Class
1 - All motors to have same connectors, and pulled out of a box at random at the start of the meeting.
2 - Any tyres allowed, as the 'kit' tamiya tyres are fairly pricey and do not last very long. Much cheaper and durable versions are avaliable, but nothing performs as well as new kit tyres.
3 - Any other modifactions can be made as very little seems to make these cars faster, but there are parts avaliable to make them much stronger.
Off road
Only 1 point. Keep the Huge straight on the hill. POWEEEERRRRRRRR |

Minis Lipo allowed 3200 limit makes sence as most people have Lipo chargers now and they are cheaper and last longer ............. _________________ Sponsored By Demon Power Products - Schumacher UK - Titanium Racing

Since this is a beginners class I think it is best to keep the cells as designed for the car, unless there is a new chassis available from Tamiya to take lipo I would suggest not. But as always it is up to the members.
But again I stress this is aimed at beginners.
A more important question is the M04 rear drive chassis allowed ( as the new Beetle kit) _________________ Built it

There are many lipo packs that will fit into a mini, and they are soooo cheap.
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-...3200mah-p-27501.html?cPath=52_973
$70 for 2 packs. Cant be bad. Not sure if they are sold over here yet though. Im sure somebody can tell me.
For the price, a new starter would be far better of with lipo. The chargers are avalaible dirt cheap now, and lipo packs are not much more expensive than Nimhs to start with, and they are far cheaper in the medium term let alone the long term.
With regards to the m04. Why not any tamiya beginner type kit as long as its running a silver can motor. i wouldn't think there was much performance differance between tamiya kits when running silver can motors. |

I agree with NO 46 Lipo chargers are cheaper and a good quality LIPO 3200 1s £29.99 and it will last and be better value for money than out of date old 3000 nihm packs
And fit straight in no prob ................
For the mini class that is and yes any Tamiya starter kit _________________ Sponsored By Demon Power Products - Schumacher UK - Titanium Racing
